The Practice, in conjunction with pharmacies across Calderdale, participates in the Minor Ailments Scheme. This enables patients with less serious ailments to be treated more quickly by a pharmacist without the need for an appointment.
How does the scheme work?
Many common ailments can be treated with advice and/or medication from your local pharmacist. Please ask at your local pharmacy.
The pharmacist will assess you and give advice and if appropriate treatment (usually in the form of medication). Any medicines dispensed will be free of charge if you do not normally pay prescription charges. If you normally pay for your prescriptions you will be charged the retail price of the medication or the prescription charge – whichever is the cheaper.
Which minor ailments are included in the scheme?

- athlete’s foot
